Steven Wes is a singer/songwriter/guitarist and has just released his first studio effort “Love and Understanding.” Steven started playing guitar at the age of 15 and never looked back. Having a guitarist as a father and, an artist for a mother certainly surrounded him with the right environment to nurture his talents. As it turns out this record became sort of a family/extended family affair with his dad playing some guitar, adding some background vocals, and his mom doing the cover art. With the Addition of Rhonda Hughes adding some vocal touches and Chris Guerra playing bass the extended family was complete. All nine tracks were written and sung by Steven Wes. The material is a fusion of the many styles of music he grew up listening to and subsequently defies description using typical stereotypes and genres. Rock, Blues, R&B, Latin are all represented in this rich cornucopia of musical styles. Make no mistake though. This is some soulful rocking music sure to excite.
