Tubesnakes
Tubesnakes is a blues rock band from Stord, Vestland. The band was established in 1994. Since the band's first CD "Tubesnakes" (1998), they have played numerous concerts at clubs and festivals in Norway and abroad.
At the same time, the development of the music has been formidable from honest and faithful Blues in '98 via hairy Bluesrock on the album "Texas Minded" (2002) as well as Countryblues recorded in Nashville, for the company "Wild Oats Records". (2004 With Lars O Vad.)
In 2014, the band's third album "Walking" was released, as a tribute to the late Lars Vad, former frontman songwriter and guitarist who passed away suddenly in 2013. The band's new guitarist and vocalist Rolf Martin Haldorsen was involved and made it possible to complete the album, when everything was in ruins after the tragic passing of Lars.
Tubesnakes released their fourth studio album, "Tarred and Feathered," in 2019, and in 2023 the band traveled to Texas to record songs for their next full-length album, "Navasota TX." Tubesnakes' longtime collaborator Randy Pavlock was in charge of producing. The recording was done in Pavlock's own studio located outside the university town of College Station.

Eddie 9V - Saratoga (2024)
Eddie 9V
Georgia-born bandleader, Eddie 9V, left the fans a real treat in form of his latest album titled Saratoga. The new release is the fourth studio album in this artist’s discography, representing a big milestone in his career. It’s a flamboyant multi-genre 12-track record containing 11 original songs Eddie mainly co-wrote with his brother Lane Kelly.
Diving right into the song-by-song analysis, the title track kicks things off in a groovy fashion, and pretty much sells the album from the word go. The verses are backed by a bouncy, modern-sounding groove. The powerful vocals throughout the chorus represent the crown of this song though. A smooth sax part then paves the way for a soulful guitar solo before the chorus hits again. This tune commands immediate replay before moving on to “Halo” featuring wonderful and soothing acoustic guitar parts. Bliss. In number three, “Love Moves Slow” showcases how good a singer Eddie really is. Excellent technique and so much emotion in his voice.
The mood shifts with “Tides” which brings slightly more dissonant harmonies. The hip-hop style beat is well complemented by a distorted guitar playing in the chorus, proof of how much Eddie is evolving as a songwriter. This is followed by a beautiful ballad “Cry Like a River”, accompanied by huge backing vocals and brass parts. Sticking with the theme, the next song called “Red River” has got some lovely slide licks on acoustic guitar. Once again, the beat is very modern, and the mix is top notch. This is taken even further in “Delta”, a song that is both very bluesy and very ‘Fruity Loopsy’. Albeit a very interesting spin on the traditional sound, this high-contrast setting might take some getting used to for the more conservative among the blues rock fans.
“Wasp Weather” is a proper swampy stomper built on a massive drumbeat with some piano and fiddle on top, leading into the country-inspired psychedelia that is “Truckee”. Another lovely ballad follows titled “Love You All the Way Down” – sounding almost as if it were produced by Dan Auerbach. It wasn’t though as the production credits all go to Lane Kelly, Eddie 9V, and Patrick Meese.
“Chamber of Reflection” is the album’s cover song, originally written and recorded by Mac DeMarco. Eddie’s singing is once again immaculate. The album ends with a sentimental slow number “The Road to Nowhere” adding 60s vibes to the mix.
Saratoga definitely brings a unique twist on some of the classic genres that we all love. It is brave, it is unconventional, it is defiant, but ultimately it’s extremely powerful and genuine. A true breath of fresh air, and arguably one of the finest releases of the year.

Wes Jeans - One Day at a Time (2024) EP
Wes Jeans
In 1996 Wes entered the International Jimi Hendrix Competition held in Austin, TX and placed an amazing second among fifteen hundred other young guitar players.
Al Hendrix, father of Jimi Hendrix, told Wes, "In my eyes, you won because you played straight from the heart like Jimi!" These words along with the support of his family and friends set this young Texas Tornado in motion. Soon, Wes was playing area venues and festivals, attracting booking agents and record labels.
In June 2006 Wes released his 2nd studio album "Forest Of The Pine" under Texas Music Records. In October of 2009 this Texas Tornado struck again with the release of his highly anticipated live CD "Live at Music City Texas", recorded at a sold out show at the Music City Texas Theater in Linden on January 17, 2009. Fans all across the country agree the closest you will get to the live raw stage power of Wes Jeans is "Live at Music City Texas".
Throughout his career, Wes has had the honor of meeting and sharing the stage with many musical greats such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, Billy Gibbons, David Lee Roth, Dick Dale, Eric Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, Lynryd Skynyrd, Robert Cray, Joe Bonamassa, Indigenous, Lance Lopez, Chris Duarte, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, just to name of few.
Sponsorships include GHS Stings, Robin Guitars, Voodoo Amplifiers, Xotic Effects, Svetlana Tubes, Opti-Case, Seymour Duncan pick-ups, and his custom signature cabinet "The Beast" was designed by Wes in conjunction with Mills Acoustics.
‘Texas Young Gun’ Wes Jeans has managed to make some waves in his young career while still toiling the road the old-fashioned way across the country.
