Scott McKeon - Can't Take No More (2007)
Scott McKeon has given a lifetime of dedication to his craft as a guitarist. Initially inspired by his dad’s love of blues, soul and rock music, he took up the guitar at the age of four and has developed a reputation as one of the UK’s most in-demand guitarists, both in the studio and performing live.
Scott was raised in southern England on a diet of Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Hank Marvin, and other 50s rock n roll music, as well as Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Motown, RnB, and soul, through his parent’s record collection. Scott’s dad, Geoff, was a successful guitarist in his own right, with his band The Diplomats opening for The Beatles and Gerry and the Pacemakers in the early 60s, with offers to go to Germany to perform.
By the time he was eight, Scott was playing a full-size Strat and was the face of a Fender ad campaign to inspire a new young generation of guitarists. Around the age of ten, a friend of Geoff’s showed Scott and his Dad a video tape of Stevie Ray Vaughan performing at Austin City Limits. This ignited Scott’s love of the blues and set him on a path to discover more about Texas musicians such as Freddie King, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Doyle Bramhall Sr and Jr, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. This led Scott to listen to artists including Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, Eric Clapton and BB King, all of which were influences on his playing in these formative years.
In 1998, Scott was the winner of Guitarist Magazine’s Young Guitarist of the Year, writing and performing his own song at Wembley Arena. Scott’s father sadly passed away shortly after this time, when Scott was 13 years old and already fronting his own blues band, playing most weekends in pubs and clubs around the south coast of England.
At 18, a demo CD was passed onto Jakko Jaksyk of Level 42/King Crimson, who then passed it on to Paul Crockford, Mark Knopfler’s manager, who started representing Scott. This culminated in the release of his debut album ‘Can’t Take No More’ - an energetic and raw take on modern electric blues rock, produced by Jesse Davey of UK blues band The Hoax. To promote the album, Scott toured extensively in the UK, Europe and US, sharing stages with Eric Clapton, Derek Trucks, Arc Angels, John Mayer and Sheryl Crow at Hard Rock Calling, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, The North Mississippi Allstars, BB King and Joe Bonamassa, as well as playing at The Montreal Jazz Festival, Mont Tremblant Festival, Glastonbury, and making TV appearances in the US.
In 2010, Scott released his second album, ‘Trouble’, on Mascot Provogue Records and again toured extensively to promote the record. This self-produced album crossed over to the rock/pop genre, with emphasis on song writing coming to the fore, after spending time in Nashville writing and hanging out with fellow guitarist Tyler Bryant earlier that year. The album featured guest performances from David Ryan Harris from John Mayer’s band, and legendary UK guitarist Robbie McIntosh. The release of the album led to Scott touring and opening shows for Derek Trucks, Gary Clark Jr and the Arc Angels, and to making his first performance at the Royal Albert Hall supporting Joe Bonamassa. Scott also wrote and produced music for Robert Knight’s ‘Rock Prophecies’ Documentary, which won him a RIIFF award for Best Soundtrack. The makers of Guitar Hero Five also sought him out in order to have a track from ‘Trouble’ on their game, as did the makers of the TV show LA Task Force.
After moving to London in 2010, Scott found himself in demand as a session musician, playing both live and in the studio, with many artists including Zigaboo Modeliste, James Arthur, Emeli Sande, Lana Del Ray, Van Morrison, Andreya Triana, Ed Sheeran and Rebecca Ferguson. Working outside of the blues genre widened Scott’s musical palette.
In 2014, Scott got a call to play in Sir Tom Jones’ band, alongside Robbie McIntosh and Pink Floyd drummer, Gary Wallis. The blues, rock n roll and gospel orientated set allows Scott to call on his early influences and travel the globe, recently completing the fifth year of working with Sir Tom. Performances so far have included five European tours, three tours of the US and South America, and tours of Australia and the Far East, as well as TV appearances including Later… with Jools Holland and TFI Friday, and playing New Orleans Jazz Festival in 2019.
Scott founded his own band, Rufus Black, in 2017, with UK blues/soul singer Gavin Conder, guitarist Ben Jones, and drummer Russ Parker. Their debut album, ‘Rise Up’, influenced by British Blues bands like Cream, Free and The Faces, was released the same year and was met with critical acclaim. The band have since seen their following grow and have been packing out venues and festivals across the UK and Europe.
In 2016, Scott travelled to the Fender factory in Corona, California, to meet with Master Builder, Dale Wilson. Dale designed and built a replica of Scott’s distinctive 1962 Fender Strat - a process which took around a year to complete, when the finished guitar was shipped across the pond to Scott.
Early 2018 saw Scott playing with one of his musical heroes, Eric Clapton, as part of the house band for an annual charity event (also featuring pianist Paddy Milner and guitarist and singer Marcus Bonfanti of Jawbone), Paul Jones and Friends, which also saw performances from Van Morrison and Sir Tom Jones.
In 2019, Scott joined Schiller, one of Germany’s biggest electronic artists, for his ‘Morgenstund’ tour, playing 15 arena shows all over Germany. Later that year, Scott joined guitarist and singer Doyle Bramhall II’s band for part of his European tour for shows in Sweden and Denmark. Scott has also been part of John Illsley from Dire Strait’s live band for the past 3 years, and features on John’s latest album, ‘Coming Up for Air’.
Scott’s third album, 'New Morning' out April 23 2021,is an earthy, raw, guitar-lead record, showcasing Scott's range and ability as a guitarist. The album was recorded live in the studio at RAK in London, capturing the energy and spontaneity of the sessions, and was produced by Paul Stacey (Black Crowes/Oasis), and features Jeremy Stacey (Sheryl Crow/Tal Wilkenfield) on drums, Rocco Palladino (Tom Misch/ D'Angelo) on bass, and Gavin Conder (Rufus Black/The Kondoors) as vocalist on several tracks.
The first single 'Third Eye Witness' released in February 2021, has already made it onto Spotify’s 'Modern Blues Rock' playlist alongside international artists including The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Kurt Vile and Gary Clark Jr.
More recently, Scott has been working in a producing role with other artists, with albums due for release later in 2021. You can also catch Scott performing live with his own 'Superjam' group comprised of some of the UK’s top musicians.

Chad Elliott & The Redemptions - Rest Heavy (2018)
Rest Heavy: The Sun Studio Sessions, the latest release from Chad Elliott & The Redemptions, is an absolutely wonderful album full of soul and delicious vibes. It has elements of blues, country and folk, and features mostly original material, written by Chad Elliott. Joining him on this release are Tommy Lewis on electric guitar, harmonica and vocals; Travis McFarlane on piano, keyboard and organ; Jim Van Dorn on drums; Joseph Cafaro on upright bass; and Kevin Boehnke on trumpet and acoustic guitar.
The album opens with its title track, “Rest Heavy,” and I am on board immediately. I can’t help but love this song’s classic soul sound, and Chad’s vocals really are in line with some of those great 1960s soul numbers. And, hey, it’s a love song, with lyrics about meeting that special someone. “I was so lost before that day/Now with you I know the way.” This track features some really nice work on guitar, plus some great touches on harmonica. “How can we live apart when my heart stays with you?” Good question. The harmonica plays a prominent role right from the start on “Shy Of Shameless,” a tune with a catchy groove and a good dose of blues. And yeah, I can’t help but prick up my ears when Massachusetts is mentioned in a song (I’ve been living in L.A. for two decades, but Massachusetts is still home, you know?). In this song, we get the lines “And I’m on my way/To some Massachusetts town/Well, I woke up shy of shameless/And now nothing can get me down.” And I dig the smile in his voice on the line “We were pretty hard to ignore.” There is some good stuff on keys, and then, holy moly, halfway through the track, the music reaches another level with the addition of horn. Yes, this track just becomes more fun as it goes.
We then go more into country territory with “Hills Of Tennessee.” However, the horn keeps it from straying completely into that land, and gives the song just a bit of a New Orleans flavor. This song has a fun vibe too, a kind of light attitude, with more nice work on keys. “Cadillac Problems, Buick Times” has a playful title and a sound to match it. This one has a cool, jazzy, smoky vibe, in large part because of that delicious rhythm on bass and drums, but of course also because of that wonderful stuff on trumpet. It opens with these lines: “You got your big degree, but you still can’t pay the rent/Would someone tell me just where my money went?” Yup, that’s just about right. “And the rich get rich, and the poor end up on the floor.” There are several lines that had me smiling, even laughing at times. It’s good to be able to laugh at our troubles, don’t you agree? The horn gets the last word here, as it most certainly should.
“Alberta” starts off more in the folk realm, and develops into a powerful and moving number. Chad makes this one breathe, sometimes pulling us in close by creating an intimate space, and sometimes really belting out the lines, like he’s reaching out to whatever force shapes the universe. This is a surprisingly glorious song. “Alberta, I am home again/Long enough to see all my sad mistakes/Oh, long enough to see that it all turned out the way it was supposed to.” “Dirty River/Catfish Blues” is a playful number with something of a loose, back porch vibe. It also features some good work on harmonica. The line “I can’t sink and I can’t swim” reminds of that line from the Grateful Dead’s “Ship Of Fools”: “And all that could not sink or swim was just left there to float.” “Water Under The Bridge” eases in, and has a lot of soul. I dig that organ. The album then concludes with its sole cover, a seriously cool rendition of “St. James Infirmary.” Everything is working just perfectly here – his vocals, the rhythm, and of course the horn. There is something delightfully dangerous here, you know, like with a dash of voodoo mixed in with the gin, and Chad is the mad doctor administering this wild concoction to us willing patients. Then toward the end there is suddenly a bass solo, followed by a drum solo. Excellent.

New York Jimmy And The Jive Five - Never Gonna Leave (1999)
Before they were the Footstompin' Trio, Dan, Jeff and Tom were in a swing/rockabilly combo called New York Jimmy & The Jive Five. During the height of the swing craze they toured the country and released two fabulous CD's. This was their their second release, containing thirteen excellent tunes filled with catchy melodies, Louis Prima style rhythm and expertly-picked guitars and stand-up bass.

Walkin’ Cane Mark -Tryin' to Make You Understand (2015)
No one really knows where Walkin' Cane Mark is from. Someone once said that Mark was born under a cactus deep in the Arizona desert. Others have been heard to state that an infant Walkin' Cane came crawling out from the Superstition Mountains one day after the worst monsoon storm in Phoenix history. A fifth generation musician he was born with the soul of a Gila monster and the voice of a grizzly bear. The Walkin Cane Mark Show is a mixture of raw Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Blues and a whole lotta Soul.
The great Willie Dixon dubbed Mark, "Walkin' Cane Mark" in 1988 when he was recovering from a crippling car accident. It was also Willie who first recognized Mark's passion for blues & soul music. Fronting his first band (a seven piece horn band) at the ripe old age of 21, Cane quickly began to gain the reputation of an intense showman. "I love music, I used to fall into a kind of trance because of it and what could happen...did!”
Snooky Pryor (known to be the first player to amplify his harp post WWII Chicago) taught him how to drive a band with his harmonica like a steam engine. Nappy Brown showed Mark how to signify, shout & channel emotion into every tune. Junior Wells made Mark FUNKY! "You don't pick the blues the blues picks you" the late great harmonica player (Junior) once told Mark, and pick him it certainly did. Mark has the reputation of being one of the youngest “Old School Style” harmonica players in the southwest.
“You have four notes in your whole range. You can’t act, and you can’t dance,” sings a false Freddie Mercury to a false Frank Sinatra in one of the Epic Rap Battles of History on YouTube (yes, it’s a real thing). Some have accused “Ol’ Blue Eyes” of talking his way through many a tune, although in a voice that makes hearts melt and lovers swoon. This is not the case with Phoenix, AZ’s “Walkin’ Cane” Mark Brehm. He simply talks. Moreover, his voice sounds dazed, as if he’s just awakened from a long, deep sleep. It’s a crying shame, because his talent on harmonica is quite apparent. Having learned his first licks from Snooky Pryor, one would expect nothing less. It’s also clear Mark loves the blues, and isn’t tempted to dilute it with rock, soul or jazz. His latest album, Tryin’ to Make You Understand, contains twelve tracks with countless notes on harp and guitar, but very few truly musical vocal sounds. Such is hard to reconcile.
According to his webpage, “Walkin’ Cane Mark was born under a cactus in the heart of the Arizona desert. Surrounded by five generations of bluegrass based musicians, it’s ironic that instead of playing country-based music like his relatives, he quickly followed a passion for gritty blues, R&B and classic soul music early on…A fateful encounter with (Howlin’ Wolf drummer) Chico Chism literally by the back door of a Stevie Ray Vaughn concert would change Mark’s life forever…The great Willie Dixon dubbed Mark ‘Walkin’ Cane Mark’ in 1988 when he was recovering from an injury. ‘He saw me walking around with a cane and knew my name was Mark, and out of his mouth came Walkin’ Cane Mark and it stuck.’ It was also Mr. Dixon who first recognized Mark’s passion for the blues. ‘I asked him if he had a song I could do, and he gave me “The Gravedigger”, saying, ‘Mark, this song is for you — you record it,’ (shortly before his passing Willie heard Mark’s version of “Back Door Man” and said it was one of the best versions he had EVER HEARD). ‘My all too short relationship with Big Willie Dixon was one of the fondest of my lifetime.’
Along with Walkin’ Cane Mark on lead singing and harmonica are Kirk Hawley on guitar and mandolin, Brenden McBride and Gordon Lynde Jr. on bass, and John Rumbaugh on drums.

The RedHot Blues - Well Travelled (1996)
On their second release, Well Travelled, The RedHot Blues demonstrate tremendous growth as blues artists. The reason? Five years together for the band's charter members, Shafran and Klegseth, hundreds of gigs in Southern California and throughout the West and Southwest, a debut CD bringing national airplay, and a love for the music they play. The band's road experiences translate to smokin' blues, from the slow 12/8, It's Time You Understand, to the straight ahead rockin' blues of Walkin' Shoes and If Your Lovin' Gets Delivered, to the sophisticated changes of Haunted By My Past, and to the live favorite, One Bottle.
Well Travelled is a good title for this CD, as the Red Hot Blues sound like nothing so much as a road band, the sort one might see in a club during the week, announcing during the set that they're from somewhere else (in this case, Van Nuys, California). While the material is fairly standard electric blues--the requisite uptempo shuffle of opening track "Walkin' Shoes," a few ballads ("One Bottle," "It's Time You Understand"), and a tense-but-low-key number ("Haunted by My Past")--it's all performed with enthusiasm. Especially worth hearing is Junior Lee Klegseth's guitar work, which is quite expressive and often unexpectedly subtle.

Jeff Wyatt & The Wreckin' Crew - Off The Floor (2017)
Canadian west coast blues power trio “Jeff Wyatt & the Wreckin’ Crew” recorded “Off the Floor” back in January of 2016. With Jeff Wyatt (guitar/lead vocal), Phil Howell (bass/backup vocal) and Vince Iormetti (drums), this EP is an enjoyable mix of 4 Wyatt originals as well as variations on 2 popular public domain blues standards from the early 1900’s. An infectious groove and a definite live feel were captured in 2 afternoon live off the floor recording sessions. The term "off the floor" has been referenced due to the fact that all instruments were recorded simultaneously, as opposed to the more modern method of multi-tracking and layering instruments and voices individually. As a result these recordings definitely represent the raw, live energy and feel of the band at their shows.

Indigenous - Circle (2000)
Indigenous is an American blues rock group that came to prominence in the late 1990s. The band originally consisted of two brothers, Mato Nanji (Maiari) ('mah-TOE non-GEE' vocals and guitar, born 1974), Pte ('peh-TAY' bass guitar), along with their sister, Wanbdi ('wan-ba-DEE' drums, vocals), and their cousin, Horse (percussion).
Their music is influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana. Mato Nanji's style and skill has drawn comparisons to each of these guitarists. The band has also shared the stage with artists of varying musical genres such as B.B. King, Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Baez, the Indigo Girls, Jackson Browne, Dave Matthews Band, and Los Lonely Boys. The band has headlined its own tours several times.
The Nakota Nation members grew up on South Dakota's Yankton Indian Reservation, where their father, Greg Zephier became a spokesperson for Native American rights. A musician in his own right during the 1960s and 1970s, Zephier provided his children with records from blues musicians such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Freddie King, and taught them to play their respective instruments. The family started touring together, and soon the children were performing on their own.
The group released their debut album, Things We Do on Pachyderm Records in 1998. In 1999, Indigenous won three Native American Music Awards for their debut record, including two top honors: Album of the Year and Group of the Year.
The track "Now That You're Gone" peaked at #22 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. Amazon.com named the band Blues Artist of the Year, and soon after they were featured on broadcast shows such as NPR's "All Things Considered", "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "CBS Saturday Morning," and "Austin City Limits". B.B. King became a self-proclaimed fan, and invited the band to join his Blues Festival Tour.
Later that year, Indigenous released an EP, Blues This Morning, and a full-length album, Live at Pachyderm Studios in 1999, and continued the momentum. Live at Pachyderm won two Native American Music Awards for Best Blues Album and Group of the Year in 2000. Their next LP, Circle, settled into place in Billboard 's Top Blues Albums Chart after its release in 2000.
Following this was the 2003 self-titled album, Indigenous (Zomba), and then another EP, Long Way Home in 2005 (on their own record label). This seven-song EP contains five originals, as well as an acoustic version of a song from Things We Do, "Rest Of My Days", and a live version of their first single, "Things We Do". After recording their 2006 album, Chasing the Sun (Vanguard) the band split. Mato carried on with the Indigenous name and toured with a new line-up that included bassist Chaney Bryant and drummer Ray Mehlbaum in support of the album. In 2008, Mato wrote and recorded the album Broken Lands which was released on August 12, 2008. More recently, the band released The Acoustic Sessions on June 8, 2010.
Time is Coming (2014) was described in reviews as "closer to rock than blues."[1] This follows the last CD entitled Vanishing Americans (2012) that paid homage to Mato father, Greg Zephier, Sr. It is dedicated to indigenous youth and all young people on indigenous reservations. His 10th commercial album, Vanishing Americans, released on Blues Bureau International, a division of the Shrapnel Record Group, won the Native American Music Award's "Album of the Year" award in 2014. The CD honored Greg, who was a spiritual advisor and spokesperson for the International Indian Treaty Council. Nanji said about Greg, "he was my favorite musician...I just felt it was time to pay tribute to him and his band.

The blues has had many homes over the years: Memphis... Chicago... Austin... Denver?!? Ok, while not traditionally known as a blues mecca, the Mile High City is home to a vibrant roots music scene, and one band working to keep the blues flame burning bright well into the 21st century is Easy Bill & The Big Beat. Host of the top rated weekly radio show the 'R&B Jukebox,' Easy Bill is following in the footsteps of such giants as BB King, Rufus Thomas, Sonny Boy Williamson, and the many other names that started their musical career as the voice inside your radio. And when he's not spinning records for the listening audience across the Front Range, he's out around town with his band, Easy Bill & The Big Beat, to show them just how much fun this music can be when performed live. And, no, he doesn't sing the Pepticon jingle. Called 'a wonderfully fun band' by the Colorado Swing Dance Network, Denver's Easy Bill & The Big Beat have released their debut CD, 'Midnight Creep,' on the independent Rhythm & Roll record label. The CD was recorded in the in-house performance studio at jazz89 KUVO (where Bill hosts the 'R&B Jukebox' every Saturday night) in Denver, Colorado. It was produced by Nick Moss, Blue Bella recording artist and W.C. Handy Award nominee from Chicago, and engineered by KBCO Studio C's Justin Peacock. 'Midnight Creep' was released Tuesday, December 9, 2003. Easy Bill & The Big Beat have been a fixture on the Colorado blues scene for almost two years, playing at such events as the 2002 Denver Blues and Bones Festival, the 2002 Mile High Blues Harmonica Blowdown, as well as many of the area's top clubs. Along the way they have developed a loyal following of swing dancers, roots rockers, and blues lovers. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Easy Bill Towber, bassist RD Jones, pianist Mark Richardson, drummer Kyle Roberts, and Ken Plum on saxophone, with an appearance on the CD from Gerry Hundt on harmonica. Playing a mixture of jump blues and early R&B, as well as post-war Chicago, Texas, and West Coast blues, the band's sound is faithful to the classic tradition, yet contains enough contemporary qualities to keep things fresh and appealing for a modern audience.

Micke Bjorklof Blue Strip - Three Times Seven Is (2002)
Band leader and singer Micke Bjorklof founded Blue Strip with bassist Seppo Nuolikoski in 1991. After some early changes, the lineup has been the same for over fifteen years. They started out as an acoustic blues/rock cover band, but before long root & blues music and the production of original material took over. Today the band is one of the most popular live performances in the Finnish root & blues scene. They rocked audiences in Scandinavia and Europe with their energetic live shows wherever they played, from small clubs to large festival arenas. Opening programs for names like BB King, FabulousThunderbirds, Little Feat, Bill Wyman Rhythm Kings, Solomon Burke, Robert Plant etc. ” In 2007, Micke Bjorklof & Blue Strip finished work on their latest release titled “Whole Nutha Thang”. The album was recorded in London, England with producer Neil Brockbank (Nick Lowe, Tanita Tikaram, Bryan Ferry). The album featured horn musicians Matt Holland and Martin Winning (Van Morrison, Lisa Stansfield) and the magnificent keyboardist Geraint Watkins, known for his work with Paul McCartney, Bill Wyman, Van Morrison and Mark Knopfler.
The album “Three Times seven is…” was the best blues album of the year in Finland 2002. Bjorklof and guitarist Leppänen are also known for their acoustic duo/trio project Micke & Lefty feat.Chef.

Greg Serrato - Like A Tornado (2000)
Greg Serrato has joined the pretigious Native American Record Label - Spirit Wind Records.
As a result the label will distribute most of Greg's previously released CDs. Greg Serrato, referred by some as ?The Tornado?, is a Native American (Apache) high-powered blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter who takes command of the stage with his ferocious fret work and hard driving sounds. Hailing from southern California, Anaheim he is regarded as one of the most talented blues-rock guitarists in the world today. He has become a force to be reckoned with and has generated a strong fan base in and around the United States. Serrato has recorded nine CDs to date. Three of which were nationally distributed by the Navarre Corporation.
His band consists of Alan Cater on drums, Phil Fistori on bass and Chris DeSoto on Hammond B3. All veterans of music and players at the top of their game. Greg regards his rhythm section as the best he's ever played with. These guys are tight! Greg plays the guitar left handed with it strung for a right handed player. Basically, Upside-down! Self taught, he began playing the guitar at the age of five and by the age of eleven was performing in his first band. Since then, he has shared Blues Festival and Concert/Club stages with such notables as SRV's Double Trouble, Jeff Healey, Albert Collins, Rod Piazza, Colin James, Savoy Brown, Sonny Rhodes, Gregg Allman, Leon Russell, Anson Funderburg, Pinetop Perkins, Johnnie Johnson, Rik Emmett, Lowell Fulson, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Tommy Castro, Elvin Bishop, John Mayall, Duke Robillard, El Chicano, The Premiers, Etta James, Jimmie Vaughan, Keb Mo, Robin Trower, Levon Helm, Wishbone Ash and many more.
When asked how he would describe his style of blues, he states "I coin my style as being Southwestern Blues." A combination of southern California Fender guitar, some Arizona Apache Indian, the heat of the Sun beating down on a rattle snake crawling across the hot desert sand and seasoned with the fire of a New Mexico chili pepper. Add all of this to his childhood influences of Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix and Alvin Lee and you have some serious blues with a kick!
His third CD on J-Bird Records "Like A Tornado, " (featuring Phil Fistori on bass & Alan Cater on drums) was nominated for Best Blues Recording by the Native American Music Awards. Rich Russman is an American guitarist, bassist, vocalist, composer, instructor, and recording engineer. Specializing in Blues and Rock music, he has written well over 100 original compositions for numerous bands. Current active projects include:

Rich’s approach to The Blues feeds off high-energy funky grooves and doesn’t turn its back on The Delta roots or the Marshall-stack successors. The guiding principle is raw and fun.

As well as touring Europe with B.B. King and supporting such blues greats as Buddy Guy, Freddie King and Jimmy Rogers: Mick Pini has earned himself a strong following, particularly in Europe. Eric Clapton described him in 1996 as ‘The legitimate successor to Peter Green’.
However, Mick Pini is unquestionably a unique living legend in his own right ... the genuine article. His authentic voice and outstanding guitar work personifies the blues in an inimitable way.
Mick has toured the world for more than 40 year. He lives, breathes, plays and sings the blues with genuine passion even his 1954 Fender Stratocaster smokes!
1998 saw the band winning the prestigious ‘Blues Band of the Month’ award at ‘Talkin Blues’ in Cologne. In January 1999 the band recorded their definitive album ‘Blues Gonna Be My Way’. It saw the most welcome return of Mike Vernon as producer. Mike produced Mick’s ‘Wildman’ album in 1989. This featured A.B. Burns, Chris Youlden and Paul Jones, and sold over 20,000 copies.
