The music is rooted in many blues styles (Texas, Chicago, New Orleans etc.) Influenced from Albert King, Albert Collins, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore, Santana, Roy Buchanan and many more. This first release has originals and a few cover songs that they put their own twist on. "If lovin' you is wrong" and "Stormy", a couple of old soul tunes, is transformed into what The Snakeboy Johnson Band's sound and style is all about. Seeing the band "live" is a whole different sound and tone experience
for the Audience. Being a blues / based group they also Dip into Jazz, Rock, Soul and Latin styles throughout their performance.
