The blues band was formed in the 1980s by bassist Bob Brunning, who previously worked with the Brunning Hall Sunflower Blues Band and briefly with Fleetwood Mac (their first bassist) and Savoy Brown. Over the years, the De Luxe Blues Band has frequently acted as a backup band for American blues singers and guitarists touring the UK.
