 Loco Joe & The Fireworks is a band that has been around since 1988.
 Singer-guitarist Loco Joe - at the time still backing Eb Davis in his blues band - actually just formed Fireworks as a fun project alongside his work with Eb.

Originally they mainly played blues rock in the style of the sixties power trios. But over the years the band went through different phases and also opened up to other styles.

For example, Joe and the Fireworks played unplugged for a few years. The line-up of the band also changed.

Hans F. Hoffmann "The King Of The Four String" has been on bass since 1997. His distinctive style contributes significantly to the sound and with whom Joe has written many songs. Hans also played with the Rudy Stevenson Soulband for a long time and is also responsible for the smooth tones on Bass Guitar Crusher.

Five years ago, Loco Joe & The Fireworks recorded a blues album with some friends from the Berlin scene. Since then, Sven Hoffmann has been a permanent member and the standard line-up is now a four-piece.

Sven is a guitarist and harmonica player and also enriches the band's sound with his background vocals. Prior to that, Sven played with Jan Hirte, Nick Katzman and Boggie Radio.

The line-up last changed at the end of 2017 and since spring 2018 Klaus Krüger has been on drums, who is also the drummer of Guitar Crusher's backing band "The Mellowtones".

Three years ago, Joe toured the southern states of the US for half a year and was particularly impressed with the music, travel and scenery of Louisiana.

You can hear this clearly in the songs "Party At Mulate's" and "Get Out Of My Way", both written after his return. Thus came the title of the CD "Under Gris Gris Spell".
