Although he is known mainly for his role as a blues guitarist, he dominates other styles such as jazz, rockabilly or fingerpicking, and instruments such as the five-string banjo. He currently plays with Mingo & The Blues Intruders and a duo with the singers Vicky Luna and the Argentine Pamela Soulé, with the great Sevillian guitarist Charly Cepeda and with the Spanish Blues Harp Attack project.
After the dissolution of “Caledonia Blues Band”, and after a brief hiatus, Quique Bonal guitarist and also a member of Caledonia, and Mingo Balaguer decide to meet again to form a new band, which begins to take shape around June 1996, “The Blues Machine ”.
