 After touring around in Europe and USA together with musicians such as Dave Hlubek (Molly Hatchet), Mike Estes (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Garry Nutt (Cinderella, Tangier, Chubby Checker), Micky Moody (Whitesnake), John Coghlan (Status Quo) to name a few Pontus life came to an end. He won't blame the music or his friends only himself as he was stuck in heavy addictions of drugs and alcohol for several years.

March 1st 2006 Pontus gave his life to Jesus at a hotel room in Helsinki, Finland during a tour and almost one year later Pontus was facing death at the hospital in Vasa, Finland. His liver and kidneys were gone, he was all yellow and paralyzed from his back to his toes due to his old lifestyle. The doctors gave him no hope but Jesus had another plan for him.

Since then he's been touring throughout Europe and USA with his guitar and his new songs about his life. In 2009 he released his first solo album "Ride to Freedom". In 2011 he released his second album "Thankful". Both albums are available as a double CD called "Double Portion" that also includes some extra tracks.

In 2016 Pontus made rock and roll history with his album "Hope". He had several guests on the album as Dave Hlubek (Molly Hatchet), John Coghlan (Status Quo), Pete Rees (Gary More), Jukka Tolonen, Skip Frye, Mark Mason, Glenn Kaiser, Ed Maina, Mikko Rintanen and many more.

In 2017 Pontus celebrated 10 years with Jesus and released a "best of" album with some of his old songs in Rockabilly versions. The album called Rockabilly Redneck was released.

In 2018 he decided to write a few songs to support President Donald Trump as Pontus felt the President was treated very badly in the media. The latest four song release "Dream of America" is being released in October 2018.

The year 2019 started with a whole new songwriting season. Pontus started to write and record new songs and did it throughout the year until August when the album was completed. The new album "Rock Force One" will officially be released worldwide in October 2019.
