The album "Usually words" was released in 2002. It contains only the original material of the Polish blues icon - the Mietek Blues Band. The album shows not only the high level of virtuoso skills of each of the instrumentalists, but also their maturity in composing music on the border of blues and lyrical songs.
Mietek Blues Band is a blues-rock band founded in 1976 in Gdansk by guitarist Mieczyslaw Wróbel and vocalist and harmonica player Zbigniew Laski. In 1979, the group received two awards at the Jarocin Festival. For 31 years of operation, the band has performed, among others at festivals: Folk Blues Meeting, Rawa Blues (in 1981, 1985, 1997 and 2000), Blues Top in Sopot, Muzyczny Camping in Brodnica, POP Session in Sopot, Zlota Tarka, Jazz Jantar in Gdansk, Jimmyway Blues Festival, Warta Rock Reggae, Summer Jazz Days in Gdynia (in 2000 as a support before BB King's concert).
