 Blues Connexion is a group from the south of France, member of the France Blues association, led by singer, guitarist and harmonist leader John "snake" Hillary (GB). John, who has crossed paths with legends such as Sonny Boy Williamson and Mike King, relies on the solid and effective rhythmic impulse of Fred Duclos (drums), Bernard Guirao (bass) and the well-inspired riffs of guitarist Gilles Violet to distill his Blues. Influenced by bluesmen like Albert collins, Buddy Guy, Luther allison or even the three "King" Albert, Freddy and BB, the style of Blues Connexion is oriented towards chicago blues but does not hesitate to explore other more funky universes. or rock while keeping its identity. Carried by the energy of a singer who imposes his style, Blues Connexion shares with the public original titles and blues standards revised in the style of the "Snake" which, with its powerful voice and its enthusiasm, leaves no one indifferent. United on stage as in life, the group transmits its passion for the Blues with sincerity, feeling and emotion.
The group has shared the stage with groups and artists such as Chris The Cat, Jacko Tapoom, Jersey Julie Band, Jack Bon Slim combo, Awek, Thomas Ford, Manu Lanvin… The group has performed, among others, at the Nuit du Blues de Fanjeaux, Blues night in Sorède, Blues night in Argelès, Thursdays in Perpignan, second prize at the Blues springboard at the 2013 Les RDV de L'Erdre Festival in Nantes, the Leon's Blues Festival in Lesneven, Cinémuzik festival, Gartempe Blues Festival…
