 In 1993, 5 guys met in Berlin to not only listen to their favorite music on black vinyl but to bang the strings themselves in the storage room of an old school building. The result was an explosive mixture of Rockabilly & Rhythm'n'Blues in the wild sound of the 50's - RED HOT ROCK'N'ROLL!!!
The band called DESPERADO 5 has been rocking stages around the world since 1994. Initially there were smaller gigs in clubs, but soon there were larger festivals in Berlin, Germany and in Europe such as Spain, France, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Belgium.
Many gigs, various recordings and countless hours in the rehearsal room were the foundation for further musical development. Today the band presents themselves as the best Desperado5 of all time!
The band's typical Red Hot Rock'n'Roll sound is supplemented today with influences from classic 50's rockabilly, rhythm & blues, country and early 60's instrumentals, while always retaining its own unmistakable character DESPERADO 5. The repertoire of over 80 currently played own and covered songs offers everything for a successful event where no dancing leg is guaranteed to stay still.
