The Dave Paul Band is New Mexico's premier authentic blues band. Dave has been on the blues scene spanning over 30 yrs, & was recently featured as a guitarist in the hit television spin off from Breaking Bad, called "Better Call Saul" and most recently a featured background role in the TV series Graves. He's made significant contributions in his involvement with many of finest blues bands in the Southwest, including The Blues Kings, The Mercurys, The Bob Ashling Trio & The Hounds. Throughout Dave's career he's remained true to the idea that the roots of American music are foundational to contemporary expression & is reflected in his smooth, fluid style. A fan of most forms of music from classical to world beat, latin & jazz is all reflected in Dave's unique eclectic approach to the blue idiom. His vast array of different influences include Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Robert Cray, Johnny A, & runs the gamut of modern Americana. A fine singer in own right, Dave's voice is reminiscent of the smoky voices from the blues venues of old. His repertoire spans a variety of great originals in addition to the great classics & new covers. The blues is alive & well thanks to Dave and the great players he has been blessed to conspire with. Dave's new group, the "Dave Paul Band" is by far the best yet & features Dave on Guitar & Vocals, Jesse Catalino Montijo on Saxophones, John Harris on Bass, & Arnaldo Acosta on the Drums.
