Lenny Lafargue - Rouler rouler (2024)
Lenny Lafargue
At a very young age, Lenny spent his time deciphering and playing by ear the vinyls of the greatest blues legends on a guitar his mother bought him. He learned as a self-taught man, the blues chose him...
Destined to study advertising design, it was the guitar, music and blues that caught his attention. He stayed in England to study English in 1968-1970 when the Blues Boom exploded.
Back in France, he left his family at age 16 and decided to become a musician. He performs on the street, in cafes and wherever people want him.
1976: Through a social worker friend who was convinced of his talent when he made a living as a carpenter and welder, he becomes a coach at a center for young delinquents to teach them music, group practice, Blues. It was at this time that he formed the group Mojo Blues which toured the west coast to Spain.
1983: he is invited by the Christian Chartier Artistic Organization to accompany Memphis Slim.

Bernard who became bassist for Keith B. Brown, Julien Dubois, etc.).
1986: He was invited to play at Master Guitar in Biarritz alongside a prestigious lineup (John McLaughlin, Christian Escoudé, Al Di Meola, Bill Thomas, Paco de Lucia, etc.), then at the Cadillac festival as Eddie's opening act C.Campbell.

Walter Trout - Broken (2024)
Walter Trout
Blues-rock icon Walter Trout is riding a creatively formidable wave and heading into 2024 with an album raucous, wild and poignant in Broken. The album features guest appearances from powerhouse singer Beth Hart, Twisted Sister's Dee Snider and Harmonica virtuoso Will Wilde.
All of us are broken. But no one is beyond repair. It's a philosophy that Walter Trout has lived by during seven volatile decades at the heart of America's society and blues-rock scene. Even now, with the world more fractured than ever – by politics, economics, social media and culture wars – the fabled US bluesman's latest album, Broken, chronicles the bitter schisms of modern life but refuses to succumb to them.

Alex Lopez
Respecting the rich tradition of the blues and always paying homage to the original blues architects, expand the genre to bring it to new audiences and deliver it with the passion, power and pizazz that keeps fans coming back for more...
Alex and his band The Xpress (ALX) release their blues/rock tour de force with the hard hitting album "Looking for a Change" The album debuted TOP TEN on the Billboard charts. With this album, Alex goes back to his rock roots with a stripped-down muscular approach that blends classic rock with the blues in a way only ALX can. It's an album reminiscent of Led Zep, Cream or Free in their prime but with the melodic memorable songs for which Alex is well known.

Terry Hiatt - Brother Piranha (1996) reposted
Terry Hiatt
Terry Hiatt's guitar playing is one of the Bay Area's best kept secrets. We would like to change that. Terry brings thirty plus years playing experience to every performance. Blues, funky country, Cajun, rock and roll, and jazz all served up like some kind of guitar gumbo.
Hiatt's CD "Big Science" dishes out the same unique blend of styles and influences you can find in his live shows.
Terry has opened shows for: Chris Cain, Elvin Bishop, Joe Louis Walker, Johnny Otis, Buddy Miles, Tony Williams, Debbie Davies, Dave Hole, Roy Rogers, Lonnie Brooks, Little Charlie & the Nightcats, Eric Johnson, John McLaughlin, and the Boneshakers.
Terry Hiatt has also shared the stage with: Coco Montoya, Jerry Miller, Lydia Pense, Andy Just, Corby Yates, Little John Chrisley, Vince Wellnick, and Chris Cain.
Currently, Terry is playing nightly with Appaloosa, a Bay Area Country rock phoenomenan, performing at the World Famous Saddle Rack, in Fremont, CA.

Freddie Nystrom Band - Pa vag igen (2020)
Freddie Nystrom
Freddie is a prolific gentleman. The editor is sitting with his new album in hand: it can be heard on Spotify, but it is actually also available on physical CD. Which is quickly pressed on the player and "Bluesman" starts scrolling. A song with Spencer Davis vibes - and hey, we hear a woman's voice alongside Fredrik! Incka Ullén, once in the William band, helps out by singing in the choir here and there. And another innovation: Bosse Hansson, perhaps best known as the Hammond organist in Mr Bo & The Voodooers, sits confidently at the keys. Also, as always, Gunnar Kungur tall. Rolf Svensson bass and Ulf Jansson drums. Producer Tomas Gabrielsson.
Next track: Twelve fast, Fredrik and Bosse sunbathe (they often do) and Incka drives again. Then a slow blues, "Min turn". Some of the songs have been recorded before, this is one of them. A little “As the years go by” feeling. Beautiful Bossesolo and then the next track: "When the wind blows cold". Cheeky riff opening into a heavy number. Yes, the entire song has a riff at the bottom. No pattern, slightly different shape and twists.
"Kärlek på burk" started so merrily fast that the brain came up with the word 'calypso'! The next one doesn't: a three-string guitar solo ushers in, well, late '60s rock of the heavy English model. Bosse is in his element, his Hammond is literally growling. He IS a rocker: never forget that Jon Lord is a great hero to him. Also, total guitar wreckage.
"Tribute to AC" is Bosse's next composition, an instrumental dedicated to Albert Collins. It shakes a lot, someone said. “Help me through the day,” we acknowledge. Classic rhythm and sassy guitar. "Double Message" is a beautiful classic-cut minor blues. Then a quick sequence of twelve "Exit" with the Editor's favorite text: "Tired of sitting, sitting in traffic / On the way to the factory from the office." Neither Freddie nor the Editor worked on the “Cadillac assembly line” or picked cotton, but we both know the anxiety in the office. Organ and guitar alternate, shift after shift, inspired by the office.
Freddie's lyrics are, to say the least, concise and direct, his thoughts and observations align. He rehearses, hammers out the lyrics, he doesn't need to bother Dylan. His signature half-whispering, half-hoarse voice. The guitar performance is varied, in intensity and timbre. A skilled guitarist: I could write “cheeky guitar solo” in every song, but that would be annoying. But you know enough!
They saved the best for the end of the dish. Not in originality, but in pure feeling, the Editor's sometimes slightly dull ears think. "You are my light". A dynamically played declaration of love: beautiful guitar solo, beautiful Hammond solo, yes, even a beautiful bass solo from Gunnar Kungur. A kiosk cup. The chord sequence borrowed from Luther Allison's "Serious," Fredrik said. “I’m as serious as a heart attack.” Freddie too, no doubt. And he's on his way. Maybe the money is coming to the office. But also for a stage near you.
