Marc Reece - Dreamer (2021)

                                                                    Marc Reece
Marc Reece has an excellent reputation as a virtuoso guitarist with an affinity for blues rock and as a vocalist on the international scene. Its greatest heroes include Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Since his album "Let It Burn" in 2009 he has not released another album. But that does not mean that he was retired. His passion was live music, which was so missed in the year 2021 by Covid, here he was very active in Asia and Europe. In 2019 he finally found the muse and the creativity for a new work that was launched in March 2021 and which he promised “Dreamer”!

The “Bernie” opening looks very funky and heavy. An exciting jam develops. Marc's guitar solos are enthroned above this.
In the next title track “Dreamer”, Guido Ludwig and Dennis Sarp are the masters of groove as a rhythmic faction. Marcus Schinkel's Hammond sound is an absolute enrichment for the sound. Reece's voice is powerful and blends perfectly with the sounds. He has absolutely improved here again.
The instrumental melodies "One For Hannes" and "At The Market" fuse blues and progressive rock and create a phenomenal mix of wild rock sound and sensitive passages. An absolute festival for all guitar fanatics!
Marc composed the absolute highlight of the CD with “Harder Than it Seems” as a magical ballad. The sensitive guitar solos are absolutely magical. A vocal duet with an exceptional singer would have been an additional culmination here. With his jazzy ax solo in the second part, Mark also proves his class, also as a composer.
"I'm Ready" has a character of absolute success and, in part, the vibes of "Ghostbusters" as music.
The final "Rock'n Roll Hero" is very relaxed in the first part with a sensitive and melancholy feeling. It is Marc's personal homage to all the music gods of the sky. In the second pass, Maestro Marc captivates with a sensational jazz solo.

Marc Reece let ten varied songs see the light of day. These are even more exciting due to the expansion of the stylistic and musical variety of funk, jazz to progressive rock and the passages with organ or keyboard. The full appeal of each track can only be fully developed after listening to it several times. Marc's guitar skills are absolutely sublime anyway, but the new styles make them even more effective. This will definitely open up new fan circles for him.
