Blues legend Ernie Williams (1925-2012) grew up on a tobacco plantation in Virginia and moved to New York in the 1940s to pursue music. During his career, he performed with B.B. King, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding and The Funk Brothers. Guitarist Mark Emanatian first began working with Williams in late 1991, and ended up spending 10 years with the band, touring the United States and Canada. In 2012, he died of a heart attack.
