In these digital and interconnected times, it is surprising to find a record from the 60s-70s that has not yet been "discovered" and documented. That is the case of a deteriorated LP titled "A very snug joiner" by some Mad Timothy. In the words of Steve Krakow (Plastic Crimewave, Galactic Zoo): "A friend found this interesting demo album without a cover in a second hand store. There is no information. Nobody knows anything, not even some of the biggest collectors. Musically, It carries a Blue Cheer / Majic Ship / Mount Rushmore vibe but with a very raw vibe and even some more acoustic-folk songs. All done in a delightfully primitive way. I think people deserve to know it. "
So, even after all our efforts to locate the group were unsuccessful, we decided that this rarity deserved to be shared and rescued, in the hope that in the wake of this issue, some member of the group will contact us.
In collaboration with Steve Krakow's Galactic Archive, we present the first reissue of this dark acetate from the late '60s / early' 70s, directly salvaged from an antique shop in Chicago and of which only one copy is known. Music? Crude and tough heavy alcoholic blues – psych in the vein of Blue Cheer, Majic Ship, Mount Rushmore, Houston Fearless, Apryl Fool, Sweet Slag, Mutzie, Aum, Screw, or some teenage Canned Heat.
