Harmónica Coixa Blues Band - Walking Blues (1991)

                                                  Harmónica Coixa Blues Band
Possibly, the LP "Walking Blues" captures the best moment of Harmonia Coixa Blues Band. This band, formed in 1982, brought together three great Majorcan musicians such as the bassist Toni Reynés (Ikuri and Prana in the 70's and Tapones Volantes in the early 80's), the inimitable Pep Banyo and the virtuoso of the harmonica, Víctor Uris ( present at the second meeting of Z-66), one of the most beloved and appreciated characters of the island scene. Sponsored by Joan Bibiloni, they publish their first homonymous album in the year '88, but it is 1991 when, with the Catalan vocalist Big Mama, they leave us their most remembered album.

"Walking Blues" is a quite complete album where all Blues clubs play; from the slowest and nostalgic to the most energetic Blues-Rock. The omnipresent Uris harmony has just given the touch of grace necessary to songs as "Playing With Fire", "Hush Hush", "One more mille" or the new version of "I'm flying" , original issue of Z-66 that appears in that rarity of 1985 in the form of 7 ". The pity is the production, which, to my mind, has never finished pleasing to me, despite this, Harmónica Coixa Blues Band and Víctor Uris showed us this record that, in Mallorca, Blues could also be done well.
